Amairani graduated from Cornell University in May of 2020 where she majored in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences with a minor in Latina/o Studies. She is currently interning for Surfrider Foundation and working on projects centered around beach access equity and member engagement. During her time at Cornell, she conducted wildlife conservation research and forestry research. She is passionate about environmental justice and has experience communicating with different stakeholders, like government officials, industry leaders, and local community members. One of her favorite past work experiences was leading backpacking trips in the Colorado Rockies! She is excited to start her new position as an Analyst for Public Works Partners planning and consulting firm in NYC!
