Dr. Rena Borkhataria is a research assistant professor in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida’s Everglades Research and Education Center and the Director and National Coordinator of the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program run by the University of Florida. She has a BS in Wildlife Management from University of Arizona, an MS in Zoology from North Carolina State University, and a Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida. She has broad research interests and studies or has studied biodiversity and ecological services in agricultural settings, the ecology and movements of Wood Storks, barriers to diversity in conservation, and science communication. She lives in West Palm Beach, FL with her husband, two horses, 3 dogs, and 2 cats.
