Hello!
My name is Wendy Noreña and I am a member of the 2016 DDCSP @ the University of Washington cohort. I graduated from Pomona College with a major in Environmental Analysis with a focus in Ecology and Urban Sustainability in 2018.
I currently work at the Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE), an Atlanta-based, nonprofit, engineering consulting firm devoted to taking all fossil-fueled vehicles off the road and replacing them with battery and hydrogen-powered vehicles. Our focus is on the medium and heavy-duty sector, especially public transit, school buses, airport fleets, and large commercial fleets. Since 1993, CTE has helped more than 70 transit agencies across the country replace more than 300 fossil-fueled buses. At CTE I work on all of our public-facing projects such as events, social media, newsletters, web design and development, grant-writing, and our annual International Zero Emission Bus Conference. I wear a million hats.
HMU with any questions about living in the South, post-grad life, having your first job out of college, the nonprofit industrial complex, how to navigate mostly white workplaces, and anything else... here to help and grow with my community!
