Ramiro Pinedo Jr is a Pitzer College graduate, double majored in Environmental Analysis with a focus on environmental policy, and Brazilian Portuguese. As part of his two-year involvement with the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program, Ramiro has worked on research projects related to conservation ecology and management throughout the University of California’s research reserves. Ramiro has lived in California all his life and is interested in the state’s water policy and how urbanization affects the access to water and other natural resources. After college, Ramiro continued his studies via a Fulbright Research Award in Roraima, Brazil where he has previously participated in an exchange program to improve his Portuguese and studied agronomy. Ramiro's goal is to someday become a researcher, promoting ecosystem services towards restoration and conservation projects to sustain both people and the environment.
