Roxana Ayala is a first generation Latina, born and raised within the ancestral lands of the Tongva peoples (Los Angeles, CA). She holds a bachelors of arts in environmental science and urban studies from the University of California, Irvine.
She currently is a Roger Arliner Young (RAY) Energy Efficiency Diversity fellow at the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE). She conducts research on notable energy efficiency workforce development programs run by local governments or in conjunctions with local governments and assists with other research efforts related to local energy efficiency policy.
