Hi! My name is Mallory Gyovai White. I graduated from North Carolina State University in 2016 with a degree in Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology, and a minor in International Studies. I was part of the inaugural University of Florida DDCSP cohort ('14). I took some time away from academia and worked for U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (via AmeriCorps), Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base (via SCA), and the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. I then went back to school to get my Masters Degree at North Dakota State University. My degree is in environmental and conservation sciences, and my research focused on evaluating perceptions of farmers impacted by wildlife damage and the biological efficacy of using UAS to mitigate damage. After graduate school I began work for the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources as a Survey Coordinator. Professionally, I'm passionate about human dimensions research and finding sustainable management solutions to human-wildlife conflict!
