Hi! My name is Mallory Gyovai White. I graduated from North Carolina State University in 2016 with a degree in Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology, and a minor in International Studies. I was part of the inaugural University of Florida DDCSP cohort ('14). I took some time away from academia during the last few years and somehow managed to work for U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (via AmeriCorps), Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base (via SCA), and the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. Professionally, I'm passionate about human dimensions research and finding sustainable management solutions to human-wildlife conflict! I am a graduate student at North Dakota State University pursuing a Master's degree in the Environmental and Conservation Sciences Program. My project focuses on utilizing Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) as a tool to mitigate blackbird damage to sunflower seed production.
If you ever find yourself passing through the Fargo area, don't hesitate to reach out to me!
