March 13, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

Public Policy Jobs in Conservation Flyer

One of the barriers to careers in conservation and the outdoors is the difficulty in accessing a strong professional network, to get that introductory knowledge, to get your foot in the door. In partnership with Children & Nature Network and The Wilderness Society, we will host a webinar and informational interview series designed to support just that: a strong career network for young, diverse leaders in the conservation and outdoor sectors.

Over the course of this series, we will be hearing from several staff of The Wilderness Society about their career path, the work that they currently do, and tips on how to get involved if it is a career you are interested in.

Our conversation on Thursday, 3/13 at 1pm EST will be focused on public policy jobs.

There will be webinars throughout March highlighting a wide range of possible careers in conservation including philanthropy, policy, community engagement, communications, and science/research.

Other webinars include:

  • Friday, March 14th 2pm ET - Science, Research Jobs
  • Thursday, March 20th 3:15pm ET - Community Engagement
  • Wednesday, March 27th 4pm ET - Philanthropy
  • Thursday, March 28th 1pm ET - Communications

After you learn about possible career paths, you will then be able to sign up for one on one informational interviews with TWS staff during April to talk through pursuing careers of interest. Future job postings at The Wilderness Society will then be made more explicitly available to you so that you can apply if interested, with a new level of internal networking and connection.
