August 6, 9:00 am EDT - August 10, 5:00 pm EDT
Join the second ALC to build relationships with DDCSP alumni across your network. Alumni who participate in the ALC will be responsible for building projects that engage DDCSP alumni community in the creation of the vision and structures for the alumni network and all community gathering retreat in 2019.
Over the course of five days alumni will spend time building community while exploring leadership topics that include:
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - understanding power, privilege & oppression
- Being a Change Agent - how to change behaviors, organizations and society
- Authentic Leadership - leading from strengths, sustainability & equity
- Network Development & Action Planning - weaving a network, building community through action
As a participant you will apply these concepts to your own context by developing a personal leadership plan (PLP). Your PLP will help you articulate your personal and professional goals and ways to actualize these concepts in your career and life. Each alumni will also be placed in a Pod, a peer-coaching group made up of your peers in the cohort and you will be matched with a mentor who is an ELP Senior Fellow, for coaching and support to put your ideas into action.
Following the retreat, participants will be expected to lead learning and community building events for other alumni in person and/or online related to the themes covered during the retreat, participate in virtual leadership development discussions and support the selection process of the next ALC.
