August 23, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT
Join Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program Alumni Network on Thursday, August 23rd (7-8pm EST) for a special webinar on "How to be a stand out employee" with Jordan Williams, RAY Conservation Diversity Fellowship Program Coordinator, and Teri Brezner, DDSCP Alumni Network Director.
Often in school, performance is regularly measured by exams, projects, and grades. In the workplace, measures of performance may be more irregular and indirect, so how do you know you're doing well? How do you solicit and implement feedback when it isn't readily offered or available? What exactly is 'managing up' and how do you ensure you have the tools and support to be successful? How does experience relate to ability and how can you shine without knowing all the answers? Join this webinar to learn and hear from both sides, that of a young employee working to answer these questions for himself, and that of a manager who's got 'the tea" on what employers like to see in their staff.
