Sullivan County Planning is seeking two planners to join a team providing leadership and technical assistance to the County and its 21 municipalities. Sullivan is a diverse rural county within 2 hours of New York City and is undergoing rapid change. Planners will coordinate reviews of development actions referred to the County, and work on a Countywide Resiliency Plan, rail trail build-out, affordable housing, Land Bank projects, downtown revitalization and more. One of the two positions will focus more heavily on grant development. Both are competitive class subject to the civil service examination process.
